Financing incentives spur Malaysians to buy homes
Article Abstract:
Residential property transactions in Malaysia suddenly increased in the early part of 1999, as demand for low-cost housing continued to increase. Statistics issued by the central bank highlighted a remarkable 24% rise in property purchases compared to last year, when financial institutions were plagued by massive loans and bad debts. Majority of the residential development is concentrated within the Kuala Lumpur area, where a number of affordable terraced homes are currently built.
