ECB is expected to raise rates despite tame info
Article Abstract:
The European Central Bank (ECB) will probably increase interest rates in the near future, despite a weaker-than-expected September business-climate index in Germany, which is the euro-zone's biggest economy. Moderate euro-zone September consumer information released on Tuesday also did not dissuade ECB officials from believing that increasing euro-zone economic growth could bring medium-term inflation risks, stated analysts. Many economists predicted that the ECB's policy-making council would boost rates at its November 4 meeting.
