Article Abstract:
A number of Taiwanese firms are planning to list their China-operations with the Hong Kong stock exchange to capitalize on investor optimism of China's long-term growth potential. The Hong Kong stock exchange expects 40 such listings of Taiwan firms, including Taiwan Sakura Corp and Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holdings Corp. The firms are hoping that the Hong Kong stock exchange would open up the availability of new capital. Meanwhile, Hong Kong stock market observers believe that the stocks of Taiwan firms in China will be popular with investors, since many of them exhibit good management.
