For cash-rich firms, buybacks are all the rage

Corporation giants are currently hot to buyback company stock. Amount of cash and securities held by corporations listed in the Standard & Poor's 500-Stock Index increased 10.4 percent in the first quarter to an all time high of $766 billion. Stock buybacks increased to eight percent in the first quarter, compared with 3.1 percent last year.

Markets' faith grows in U.S. rally
Article Abstract:
United States securities rallied to a four year high last month, and some foreign securities markets increased as well, including Mexico, India, France, South Korea and Germany. The United States Dollar increased slightly, shipping rates, gold and the Yen are down. Forecasts for the United States economy indicate growth.
