Ford recalled Firestone Tires in Asia starting in May

Ford Motor Co. began recalling Firestone tires on Explorer SUVs in Southeast Asia three months prior to ordering a similar recall in the U.S. The car maker discovered tire-tread separation problems on no less than 4% of the Explorers sold in Malaysia and Thailand.
