The South African government is working towards cooperation between black and white groups to make a unified coalition. While there is some reluctance to cooperate by the Zulu Inkatha Party and the National Party, there is an overall spirit of hope and change by the younger members of all parties.

The Dutch enjoy one of Europe's most stable economies, with a low inflation rate, a manageable budget deficit, and a currency that is less volatile than most. Economic prosperity in the Netherlands came about during the 1980's as a result of sound macroeconomic policies.

Mostly harmless: atom lasers

The use of an atom laser demonstrated a quantum physics theory developed in 1924 by Albert Einstein and Satyendra Nath Bose that cold atoms would act like a single unit in research conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and led by Michael Andrews.
