Barlo Plastics Europe operates in Pribram

Barlo Plastics Europe (BPE), plastic film manufacturer, is beginning to operate in the Czech Republic. In 1Q 2001 the company opened storage and production capacities in Pribram. So far it has invested CEK 85.5 mil in conversion in the land and building. It plans to expend another CEK 171 mil on equipment.

Fuchs Europlastics to build a production unit in Czech Republic
Article Abstract:
Fuchs Europlastics (Germany), plastic products company, plans to build a production unit in the industrial zone in Zlin, Czech Republic, in 2H 2001. The plastic moulding unit will have nearly 200 employees. In the future the unit should increase its production and should use an area of about 10,000 sq mt.

Vulkan to invest CEK 10.9 mil in modernization in 2001
Article Abstract:
Vulkan (Hradek nad Nisou, Czech Republic), rubber products company, plans to invest CEK 10.9 mil in the modernization of its production equipment in 2001. The modernization should make Vulkan's production more effective. The investment plan has to be approved by Vulkan's new owners. Since late Apr 2001 Vulkan has had a 33.6% stake held by J&T Banka and a 20.6% stake owned by Galston Investments. Vulkan manufactures mainly condoms.
