GE plans to sell call-center unit based in India

General Electric Co. is planning for the sale of all or part of GE Capital International Services, its business processing unit in India. General Electric does not intend to reduce its outsourcing operations; the move is indicative of a trend towards consolidation in India's information technology industry and provides an opportunity for the electric equipment giant to profit from its investment.
