Technological equipment manufacturers have to face harder conditions
Article Abstract:
Zdas (Zdar nad Sazavou, Czech Republic), engineering firm, saw proceeds of more than 3 bil Kc and an unspecified profit in 1999. The firm's rolling mill saw proceeds of 600 mil Kc in 1999. The firm has started to focus on suplementary and spare programmes due to a decrease in demand. A lack of large investment projects in the Czech Republic has caused serious existence problems to Zdas. The firm will probably not be awarded any large contract in 2000. That is why the firm has to look for contracts abroad.
