Kepco is chosen to build plant in North Korea
Article Abstract:
The Korea Peninsula Energy Development Organization has awarded a contract to build a nuclear power plant in North Korea to Korea Electric Power Co. (Kepco), a South Korean electric utility. Under the terms of its contract, Kepco will supply North Korea with two 1,000-MW nuclear power plants, both of which are modified versions of US equipment that are currently used in South Korea.

OECD touts its progress on investors' rights pact
Article Abstract:
Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) dir. William Witherell announced that the group is close to signing a new agreement clarifying and protecting the rights of investors. Witherell stated that the proposed Multilateral Agreement on Investment (MAI) enjoys broad support and that it could be signed in the OECD's ministerial meeting in May 1996.
