Gazprom starts placing

Shares in Gazprom, Russian gas producer, are currently being placed on the secondary market. Nine per cent are being sold on the stock exchange in Vladivostok. The federal government's 40% stake will have to be sold in future. Surgutneftegaz, Russian joint stock oil company, will sell shares in its subsidiary, Surgutneftegaz.
