Germany tinkers with foreign-takeovers plan

The German economics ministry is redrafting a proposed policy that would allow it to prevent takeovers by sovereign wealth funds and state-owned foreign firms. Bids from European Union member nations would be exempt. Some economists and business groups are concerned that the revised policy would discourage foreign investment.
