Article Abstract:
New technologies such as tissue engineering, cyberspace and genetics will have a profound and rapid impact on the nature of architecture. It will be vital for architects to adapt to these trends if the profession is to survive. Preparations must be made now for a dramatically different future in which concepts such as gravity and weathertightness will no longer have any relevance.
