Article Abstract:
Congo has been affected by a long conflict and there has been ethnic violence in the north, between Lendu and Hema peoples. Congolese president, Laurent Kabila, has become more popular as a result of resentment of occupying forces from Rwanda and Uganda. The Rwandans argue that they have to protect Rwanda from Interahamwe militia forces and secure the boder between Congo and Rwanda, but there are reports of bad behavior by Rwandan troops.
