Getting to grips with training: continuing professional development may not have been a success in its formal sense, but architects cannot afford to ignore the need for training
Article Abstract:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a concept is essential and RIBA is considering the idea of an annual update. New director of education and practice standards Chris Colbourne, believes that a list of essential changes for practitioners to learn about must be drawn up, but feels that the information on needs must be gathered locally, with CPD delivered locally. Some believe that CDM regulations are being abbreviated but most practitioners are taking CDM seriously.
