Globeandmail.com has introduced a C$5-million branding campaign to attract Internet surfers to the complete range of sites it operates. The campaign is consist of six different advertisement that will appear in the Globe and Mail nationally and outdoors in major Canadian cities, such as Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, on buses, video boards, transit shelters and subway platforms. Globeandmail's goal is to let consumers know that in addition to its news site, it also runs ROBtv.com, globeinvestor.com and workopolis.com.

DaimlerChrysler Canada used a handraiser campaign prior to the launching of the Chrysler PT Cruiser. The campaign involved trading product information for some personal consumer information. Outdoor and magazine campaign invited consumers to reach the company through its Web site or toll-free numbers. The campaign has resulted in a successful launch. The press is playing back the advertising concepts in articles and editorial cartoons are using the concept.
