Gloria may offer solid gains in China's tight hotel sector

Gloria International Hotels Ltd. has successfully penetrated the extremely competitive hotel market of China through the implementation of an effective marketing campaign. The hotel group, which is affiliated with Top Glory International Holdings, has a total of eight hotels in China. The chain is able to charge lower than its competitions due to reduced construction costs while providing good facilities. The group is only one of many hotel operators who have set up business in the already saturated market of China.

Shanghai hotels struggle to lure guests

Shanghai hotels are scampering for guests as the occupancy rate in the country continues to drop. Hotels are cutting rates and improving facilities in attempts to lure visitors into the premises. The hotels' cost cutting schemes are appreciated by most clients but the lower rates may mean lower quality of service and facilities.
