Good-bye to all that
Article Abstract:
There has been a decline in the number of stock markets and derivatives exchanges being created across the world. Furthermore, a number of stock markets have formed alliances. This trend is being fuelled by a number of factors, particularly technological change. Electronic trading systems are becoming more widely used, with investors being attracted to such systems by the fact that electronic trading is considerably cheaper than trading on traditional exchanges. It is possible to argue that it would not really be significant if traditional exchanges were to disappear altogether.
