Article Abstract:
The atrocities allegedly committed by UN peacekeeping forces in Somalia connected with the mercy mission intended to deliver food and relief supplies to starving refugees of the civil war signifies the ignorance of the UN in Somali politics. The good intentions of the UN turned into atrocities because they were unaware of the complexities of Somali politics and their intentions of keeping the peace forced them to intervene.
