Grafobal (Slovakia), corrugated paperboard packaging manufacturer, expects its plant in Slany, Czech Republic, to generate a turnover of over 200 mil Kc in 1998. The plant's turnover amounted to 127 mil Kc in 1997. The plant's pilot operation was started on 21 May 1996. The target number of the plant's employees is about 85. The plant in Slany is a part of the group Grafobal Group, which also includes Grafobal (Skalica, Slovakia) with two production plants, Grafobal (Vilnius, Lithuania), Slovenska Grafia (Bratislava, Slovakia) and Polygraf Print (Presov, Czech Republic). The firm also has representative offices in Kosice in Slovakia, Warsaw in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Minsk in the Ukraine, and Prague in the Czech Republic. Grafobal Skalica exports about 35% of its production to the Czech Republic.
