Greece's Intracom expects big jump in quarterly profit

Intracom SA of Greece is expecting to post pretax profits of five billion drachmas ($16.9 million) for the first-quarter of 1999. During the same period in 1998, the company posted 2.2 billion drachmas. Intracom is a supplier of electronics and telecommunications. The company is expecting to see a 72% increase in sales to 25 billion drachmas for the 1999 year. In 1998, Intracom posted 14.5 billion drachmas.
