Group seeks Italian cell-phone license
Article Abstract:
Autostrade SpA and British Telecommunications PLC (BT) are leading a consortium that plans to make an offer for the fourth mobile telephone license in Italy. This is according to Autostrade's chairman, Giancarlo Elia Valori. Autostrade owns 35% of the consortium. BT owns 21%. Distacom International, Edizione Holding, and Mediaset SpA all own 10%. Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and Italgas SpA both own 7%.
