US moves nearer free flight
Article Abstract:
The Free Flight Phase I Program Office, created by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Jul 1998, stressed that part of the Free Flight environment will be effected by 2002. The programme office has a spending budget of $635 million intended for introducing equipment into the field in a span of five years. The equipment under development include surface traffic management, information sharing tools, conflict probe and sequencing tools.

Bridging the gap for Copenhagen

Oresund Bridge, joining Sweden to Denmark, has been a significant benefit to Copenhagen Airport. FY2000 passenger traffic went up 5.1%, cargo volume rose 7.7% and traffic revenue increased by 18.8% over FY1999.
