HAL, NAL, TO DEVELOP SARAS
Article Abstract:
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and National Aerospace Laboratories has entered into an agreement to develop and produce the light transport aircraft Saras. They have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the 14-seater aircraft which can also be used as an ambulance, civil applications and executive requirements. HAL's contribution to the project is in the areas of designing landing gear, hydraulics and electrical systems and the manufacture and assembly of wings. (khr)

FRESENIUS KABI EYES TWO BRANDS FOR ACQUISITION

Fresenius Kabi (India) Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Fresenius Kabi AG of Germany plans to acquire two brands in India in the clinical nutrition and fluid therapy sectors. It is negotiating with Wander Ltd for acquiring the brands. The acquisitions are expected to be completed by December 1999. (um)(vr)
