HYDRO COATINGS TO OPEN NEW UNIT
Article Abstract:
Hydro Coatings Ltd (HCL) which manufactures pre-coated sheet metals will set up a new coil coating unit in Bangalore during October, 1998. The plant will produce small batches of special colours in the name of Pevicoat. The plant will have system with formulation technology and computer controlled manufacturing technique to produce special colours in small quantities. HCL is a part of Norsk Hydro group. The company plans to export its coating products to West Asia, South East Asia and Saarc countries. (gs)

FOSROC CHEMICALS PLANS TO STEP UP INVESTMENT IN INDIA
Article Abstract:
Fosroc Chemicals (India), a subsidiary of Fosroc International of the UK, has planned a major investment programme in India to enhance its marketshare. The company had invested around Rs90 crore in its four divisions in 1997-98. It has recently constructed a unit to produce speciality chemicals at Kulavanahalli near Bangalore at a cost of Rs13 crore. The unit, which has the capacity to produce 1,500 tonnes of chemicals per month, also has a warehousing facility. (khr)
