DSQ TO MOVE COURT OVER WINDING-UP PLEA
Article Abstract:
DSQ Software Ltd is moving the division bench of the Madras High Court for a revision of the order accepting a winding-up petition filed by Credit Agricole Indosuez (CAI) against the company. CAI had filed a case against DSQ Software for non-repayment of Rs11.5 crore dues. DSQ Software says that the guarantee cannot be invoked as it had stood guarantor to a Rs10 crore borrowing by a group company, DSQ Industries, only after the loan was disbursed. DSQ Industries was disbursed an export packing credit loan of Rs10 crore by CAI on March 27 and 29, 1996. DSQ Software had issued a guarantee on the borrowing on April 10, 1996. (khr)
