Global Tele-Systems Ltd, a network and e-commerce solutions company, has planned an employee stock option scheme. It plans to give 17,000 warrants, each equal to 50 equity shares, representing about 4.3 percent of the company's equity of Rs19.80 crore. The scheme is to be implemented in three months time. The price of the conversion is to be finalised in a few weeks time. The company's scrip is currently quoted at Rs98. (khr)

IBM COS IN INDIA OFFER ESOP

The loss-making Tata-IBM Ltd plans to float an employee stock option scheme (ESOP) for its employees for IBM's second joint venture in India - IBM Global Services India (P) Ltd (IGSI) . Around 80 percent stake in IBM Global Services India is held by IBM and 10 percent each by Tata-IBM Ltd and Tata Industries. Tata-IBM looks after hardware sales of IBM in India, while IGSI is the information technology arm of the US company. (gsh)

Credit Analysis and Research Ltd has downgraded the A+ rating given to the Rs35.16 crore non-convertible debenture programme of Searle India Ltd to an A rating. The decline in profits due to increase in depreciation and interest cost and the constrained prospects for agrochemicals due to domestic over-capacities have been factored in the downgrade. (khr)
