The Red Bank brickworks in Measham, England produces a wide range of handmade terracotta items including roof and ridge tiles, gas terminals, ventilator ridges, air bricks, decorative finials, chimney pots, fireplaces and gas flue blocks. Its turnover, which varies between 12 million pounds sterling and 16 million pounds sterling, fluctuates according to changes in economic conditions affecting the construction industry.

Issues concerning the design and spiralling brickwork of the new extension to the Geffrye Museum in East London are presented. Branson Coates, design architect, collaborated with structural engineers Alan Baxter and Associates in the construction of the building.
