Hard road to peace
Article Abstract:
The Israeli-Palestine peace process appeared to be making progress with the Oslo agreement. Palestinians have been disappointed that the Wye agreement has been followed by the release of ordinary criminals rather than political prisoners. Palestinians are concerned that Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu does not desire peace, and Netanyahu does not trust the Palestinians either. Israel will have to make many concessions if peace is to be achieved, and Israel appears reluctant to make such a sacrifice.
