Has the time come for Italy's second market?
Article Abstract:
METIM, Italy's new second market for small to medium-sized firms, is now scheduled to begin operating in the first half of 1996. It will trade shares of concerns which are not seen as suitable for listing on the Milan Stock Exchange, and will also deal with debentures and bank bonds which have not yet been listed. It will have lower listing costs than the Stock Exchange, and a number of incentives will be offered.
