Article Abstract:
Two versions of the video phone are expected to revolutionize the market. The first is a product of American Telephone and Telegraph Co and sells for US$1,500 while the second is from British Telecom and sells for only US$800. Both products are somewhat envied by the Japanese since they have well-known plans of dominating the telecommunications market with their digital systems. The video phones can be plugged into the ordinary telephone lines and are marketed mostly to wealthy grandparents who want to talk as well as see their grandchildren.
