Hierarchical design of an integrated production and 2-echelon distribution system
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the hierarchical design of an integrated production and 2-echelon distribution system using the Lagrangean relaxation method. A mixed integer mathematical model with a centralized planning perspective was constructed. Results show that the subgradient optimization offers a starting solution whose feasibility is to be restored. The Lagrangean relaxation was proven to perform well in terms of the global optimality of the integrated model.

Finding strong defining hyperplanes of production possibility set
Article Abstract:
A method for finding all strong defining hyperplanes of production possibility set (PPS) is presented. The new method can be used to analyze the relative efficiency of decision making units.
