Share prices in developing countries climbed by an average of 75% in 1993, luring investors from around the world, but the ongoing decline that began in 1994 is raising questions about the wisdom of the investments. However, carefully selected international markets do provide diversification.

Why risk is no longer a four-letter word
Article Abstract:
There seems to be less concern about investment risk, whether it be for so-called junk bonds or for investments in developing countries such as Mexico and Thailand. Caution is still recommended, however. Mexico and Thailand, for example, were economically boosted by the US and by Japan.
