Small signs of stabilisation
Article Abstract:
The Assn of Asia Pacific Airlines (ACI) reported that Asian passenger traffic recovered somewhat in the second half of 1998. Airport traffic, however, did not recover, and any increases in airline loads are probably because of summer traffic hikes. ACI statistics indicate a broad range of airport traffic inspite of the economic in Asia. Significant increases in passenger traffic registered in Shanghai, Melbourne, Sydney, Beijing and Tokyo Haneda.
