Houston, we have a problem
Article Abstract:
The financial crisis at US energy trading giant Enron is in stark contrast to the firm's rapid growth and success since its formation in the 1980s. There is even talk of bankruptcy or a takeover of Enron, but some believe Enron is too important to the energy market to be allowed to collapse.

Article Abstract:
Energy and financial-trading giant Enron has suffered a spectacular and sudden collapse from its USDlr60 bil stockmarket value in Feb 2001 to bankruptcy. Enron's collapse is probably due more to a loss of credibility than to the financial revelations that came to light in Oct 2001.

The amazing disintegrating firm
Article Abstract:
The collapse of the world's largest energy trader, Enron, seems sudden but there had been problems for some time under former Chief Exec Jeffrey Skilling. Enron's mistakes included losses on investments in bandwidth trading, and problematic expansion projects abroad.
