Article Abstract:
Enrico Bondi, the government appointed administrator of bankrupt Parmalat S.p.A., has released results of an investigation into the financial mismanagement and corporate fraud that led to the dairy industry giant's downfall. In addition to detailing acquisition and borrowing sprees that left the company financially insecure, the report suggests that Italian and foreign banks may have been involved in enabling Parmalat executives to make fraudulent transactions.
