Article Abstract:
Internet banner campaigns can be used for different clients. Majority of existing campaigns are pan-Nordic or local in scope. However, more global promotions are in the planning stage or have been conducted. The Internet can be employed for mass communication in the Nordic and American markets due to penetration by the Internet. The Internet is becoming adopted more in other countries. Reach and frequency can be set more effectively via targeting. The Internet is proven to be useful for information, public relations and advertising applications. However, Internet users may be overwhelmed by consumer response to their efforts.

Hans Erni: artist and activist
Article Abstract:
Hans Erni is perhaps Switzerland's most admired contemporary artist. Known for his exploration of social realism, the 90-year-old Erni has achieved renown for his paintings and drawings, as well as for his designs for opera settings, ceramics, tapestry, stamps, book illustrations, medals and murals. A native of Lucerne, Erni trained as a draughtsman before studying art in Paris and Berlin where he came into contact with artists such as Mondriaan, Calder and Brancursi. A retrospective of the artist's work is on display at the Hans Erni Museum which can be found at the Transport Museum in Lucerne.
