India has traditionally been dependent on Middle East region for its oil requirements. The recent crisis has, however, forced it to look out for alternative sources. The state-owned companies like Oil and Natural Gas, Indian Oil are aggressively investing in alternate global oil sources like Sudan anticipating a rise in demand for oil.
