PENTAFOUR TO GET SEI CMM LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE SOON

Pentafour Software & Exports Ltd (PSEL) is likely to receive the SEI CMM level 3 certification by mid April 1999. The certification is based on capability maturity model (CMM). It has been developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University. The SEI CMM level 3 certification denotes continuous achievement and improving aspects of a company in the field of software engineering. PSEL's software products include Pentaworks, an ERP solution package and Pentabank, a banking software package. PSEL has orders worth $160 million which are expected to be executed over the next 15 months. (gs)(m)

SDG TO DESIGN SOFTWARE FOR BgSE MEMBERS
Article Abstract:
The System Design Group (SDG) has secured a contract from Bangalore Stock Exchange (BgSE) for implementing broker's backoffice accounting software. The software handles inventory management, accounts, demat shares, accounting for clearing operations and bad delivery transactions. The product is Y2K compliant. The current software used by BgSE is not Y2K compliant and hence cannot be used after January 2000 AD. SDG plans to offer the software to over 125 BgSE members. (um)(vr)
