Ikano in Prague

Article Abstract:

Ikano Properties (IP) (Prague, Czech Republic), construction and developer firm, will start the reconstruction of the hotel Central in Prague in the autumn of 2001. The reconstruction should be completed in the spring of 2003. IP invested CEK 1 bil in the reconstruction of the office and shopping centre Stara Celnice in the centre of Prague. The reconstruction was completed during 1Q 2001. The centre has a total area of 10,000 sq mt including office areas of 6,500 sq mt and commercial areas of 3,500 sq mt. IP, part of the developer firm Ikano (Sweden), invested over CEK 2.5 bil in the Czech Republic during the past 10 years. The firm focused mainly on the reconstruction of rental houses in the centre of Prague. Ikano operates in 15 countries.

Rebags Prague acquires a table water bottling plant

Rebags (Prague, Czech Republic), table water producer, won a tender for the table water production and bottling plant Zlaty Jelen Vizovice (Czech Republic) in 2001. The bottling plant became bankrupt in Dec 1999. Its debts towards creditors amount to about CEK 250 mil. The book value of the bottling plant is CEK 56 mil.

Strojimport is awarded a contract in India

Strojimport (Prague, Czech Republic), trade company, has been awarded a contract worth USD 5.4 mil by the Indian Ministry of Defence. On the basis of the contract, Strojimport will ensure the reconstruction and modernization of a heavy hammer forging press in India.
