India's stocks rocket as Reliance plans split

Reliance Industries Ltd. of India has resolved its management concerns amicably with the 2 billionaire brothers dividing the company. Mukesh Ambani is to manage the petrochemical and petroleum businesses and Anil Ambani is to manage the companies newer enterprises in fund management, energy and telecommunications. Sensex, India's stock index surged to a record of over 7000 yesterday and Reliance Industries Ltd. shares rose 4.9 percent to 630.40 rupees or $14.48.
