International economy; a sluggish recovery
Article Abstract:
It is anticipated that the largest economies (North America, Europe and Japan) will recover at different rates from the recession in 1992. The US economy may pick up first, the European is expected to recover more slowly. Japan was the last to go into recession so may not recover until end 1992. Recovery is assessed by looking at supply and demand, inflation, current account figures and exchange rates. Comparative tables of statistics show the expected recovery figures.
