Irresponsible in Argentina

Article Abstract:

Argentine president, Carlos Menem, is putting democracy in Argentina at risk with his attempts to serve for a third term. He has made progress in a number of areas such as economic policy, foreign relations, and relations between the armed forces and central government. The constitution does not permit him to stand for a third consecutive time, and he has already had the constitution changed to stand for a second time. He will endanger democracy if he achieves his aim.
