Issues of product standardization in the leisure industry
Article Abstract:
A research study analyzes the UK leisure industry's product standardization issues. The age breakdown of the subjects and their previous use of the product were used as segmentation criteria for the analysis of consumers' perceptions. Results show that standards can be established for leisure products via a product's tangible and intangible elements. As a result, business enterprises are able to reap the benefits of economies of scale and scope. Still, continuous capital investment and veteran service staffs are necessary to achieve a consistent product quality.
