It's a new dawn at Dacom
Article Abstract:
South Korean conglomerate firm LG Group has become a major player in the country's Internet and telecommunication industry following its acquisition of 25% of Dacom Corp. In addition, the firm has reached agreement to buy another 17% of Dacom stock owned by the Tongyang Group. This effectively brought to 42% the stake of LG in Dacom, with another 10% of the shares in the hands of owners friendly to the firm. However, outgoing Dacom CEO Kwak Chi Young warned that a cultural clash might occur because of the dissimilarities in corporate culture between the two companies.
