Japan car output falls after quake jars supplier

A July 16 earthquake in Japan caused a week-long plant stoppage at Riken Corp., an automobile engine parts manufacturer, which has affected the nation's domestic output. Production at six major Japanese automakers has been reduced by a combined total of 118,900 vehicles, or about 16% of monthly production.
