Japan seeks its constitutional soul
Article Abstract:
In the light of the recent military and security actions on Iraqi soil, Japan is seeking to amend its constitution. The public opinion favors such amendments. Some of the provisions in Japanese constitution that have become redundant or irrelevant in today's context are discussed. Even United States has asked Japan to rearm itself.

Japan warns North Korea
Article Abstract:
The Japanese Defense minister Shigeru Ishiba's statement that Japan would not hesitate to use it's military force for it's self defense, sends strong signals of Japan's unwillingness to be pressured by North Korea. It also means that Japan is going to take more responsibility for it's defense now.

Australia's choice
Article Abstract:
The political necessity of the presence of a British monarch in Australia's democracy in light of the stepping down of the governor-general is discussed. The vice-regal office practically contributes nothing to the Australian politics, with the prime minister making all the decisions.
