Ka-60 roll-out
Article Abstract:
The first prototype of the Russian Ka-60 helicopter has been rolled out by Kamov Helicopters. The prototype, which is suspected by some industry analysts of being a repainted version of the Ka-62 mockup previously displayed at the Zhukovsky Air Show in 1993, has a four-bladed main rotor system and two 1300 shp Rybinsk Motors RD-600V turboshaft engines. The Ka-60 helicopter has been built for military use, and would provide Russian forces with a medium-weight helicopter that would replace the older Mi-2 and Mi-8 helicopters.
