Egypt is finally taking the opportunity to dismantle state controls on business, land ownership and stock markets. State-owned corporations are slated to be sold off. Land laws restricting land ownership to 20 hectares and draconian rent control laws have been overturned.

Tear down the walls
Article Abstract:
Stock exchanges have begun to have competitors, such as electronic trading systems. The exchanges are requesting that government regulating bodies keep competitors out of the business. This would be a mistake, as competition should be encouraged and regulated.
