Canadian companies who conduct outdoor advertising campaigns may want to explore certain Canadian cities which offer the best, most ideal spots for outdoor advertising displays. These sites include Torbay Topsail and Kenmount roads in St John's, Newfoundland; and the Angus L. Macdonald and A. Murray Mackay toll bridges as well as Barrington Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Montreal, Quebec; Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario; Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta; as well as Vancouver, British Columbia also offer several of the best, most ideal billboard locations in the country.

P&G swiffers up media coverage

Procter and Gamble Canada successfully introduced its latest product, a battery operated floor cleaning appliance called the Swiffer WetJet, in the 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes' TV program with celebrity Mary Walsh. Public relations firm OEB International also sent a series of promotional giveaways to media, including a toy sheep, with messages that mankind can already clone sheep but still has yet to solve the drudgery of household chores.

Poor coupons pricey for retailers

The Coupon Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) says that marketers should pay closer attention to the fine print on their own coupons. Badly designed coupons are costing retailers at least $1 million in undue expenses.
